How to Fund Your COL Account

Ok, you’ve opened your COL account.  Made your initial deposit of Php5,000.  Bought your first stocks.  What do you do next?

Grow your investment.

How?  By making regular, monthly deposit.

It could be from Php500-Php2,000, or any amount that you’d like to set aside as your savings.  But it needs to be done REGULARLY.  That's the key.  That’s what Bro. Bo wants to emphasize to his Truly Rich Club members.

COL Financial makes it easy for us to fund our accounts.  We can either deposit directly at their Head Office or through their partner banks namely:  BPI, BDO and Metrobank.

I do online banking with BPI and BDO so what I did was to enroll COL Financial Group, Inc. under ‘Bills Payment’.  Thus, with a few mouse clicks, money is transferred from my bank to my COL account.

But for those who don’t trust online banking and have all the time in the world to wait in line, you can just go to any BPI, BDO or Metrobank and do an over-the-counter deposit.

For those living abroad, you may do a wire transfer to Banco de Oro.  You'd need the following info:

Banco de Oro

Bank Address:
Ortigas Exchange Branch
G/F East Tower Philippine Stock Exchange Centre,
Exchange Road
Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Philippines

Swift Code:
BNORPHMM

Account Number:

In favor of:
COL Financial Group, Inc.
(formerly CitisecOnline.com Inc.)

Address:
2401B East Tower PSE Centre, East Tower, Exchange Road,
Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Philippines

For further credit to:
[Indicate your name, COL Account No. and Address]

Deposit Acknowledgment Receipt
Within 24-48 hours, you would be getting an email confirmation from COL Financial acknowledging your deposit.

You can then log in to your COL account and buy more stocks (see How to Buy Stocks) as recommended by Bro. Bo on his monthly Stocks Update.

Thanks & God bless,

  1. Hi Joey! This is Len. Can one fund his account using bankard online payment? It's more convenient than enrolling COL to BDO or BPI :( What do you think? Thank you.

  2. Hi Len,

I'm not sure about Bankard. Does it work like online bill payment? I guess, if it has 'COL Financial'as one of the payees, then yes. However, I checked COL Financial's site and it only mentioned cash, bank deposits, bank transfer and wire transfer. I don't think it's difficult to enroll COL with BDO or BPI coz it's only a 1-time process. Once it's enrolled, you can just do fund transfer everytime.

    Hope the answer helped!

  3. hi Joey, i just recently open my Col Financial account and enroll this to BDO online banking, my question is the 500 pesos is the minimum amount to fund the account? how many times in a month u can fund the col account?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Hi. There is no required minimum amount to deposit each month. You can put in any amount, as often as you want, or even none at all. Even if your account goes below 5k or even if it's already 0 balance, your account will remain active. That's the difference of COL compared to bank accounts.

However, the purpose of opening a stock investment account is to grow the same. So, you should at least discipline yourself to put in any amount regularly - even as small as 500/mo.
